Another HGTV space, another CRAZY NEON® custom neon sign in the spotlight. Our latest project appears in Crashers, Season 1, Episode 9, “Divided Design,” where a 72-hour basement transformation brings a completely new energy to the space. Our custom neon sign was part of that transformation, from being unpacked and installed by the renovation team to becoming part of the finished design.
For us, it is another opportunity to show what a thoughtfully designed custom neon sign can bring to an interior. More than a source of light, it can become a defining visual element that reflects the character and purpose of a space.
Another CRAZY NEON® Custom Neon Sign Takes the HGTV Spotlight
HGTV’s Crashers follows Jonathan Knight and his renovation team as they take on ambitious projects with a strict 72-hour timeline. In “Divided Design,” the team transforms a basement into a space that brings together entertainment, family time, play, and hosting.
That made the project a natural setting for custom signage. A room designed to be used, enjoyed, and shared needs design details that feel just as intentional as the larger renovation.

“Divided Design” centers on a basement with competing ideas for how the space should be used. The renovation team works to create a finished area that balances those needs while giving the basement a stronger identity.
CRAZY NEON® became part of that process with a custom-made LED neon sign designed for the newly renovated space. The sign was included on the Day 3 punch list, alongside the final lighting and installation work, before being positioned on the feature wall.
From Unboxing to Installation
In the video from the episode, we see the renovation team unboxing the sign and mounting it to the wall before they finish with the rest of the room. This is an excellent example of how personalized LED signs can blend into the design of a room. Everything is created with the room in mind.
Once installed, the sign adds a clear focal point to the basement and fits naturally with the surrounding entertainment area.
